No. Our world is great. For every one person that plants a bomb, you have hundreds more running a marathon. For every one person that makes a joke about the dead and dying, you have thousands more donating blood, offering prayers, and volunteering their time. Things like this are the fault of single individuals who make violent, loud statements. We just have to make sure that the statements of the good are louder.

Where is the innocence in the world, is there even good left in us?

Hollywood cancels premiere and Christian Bale goes to honor victims.
People rush to donate their own blood to help out.
Of course there’s bad in the world, but it doesn’t necessarily outweigh the good.

the most scariest thing about this whole thing is that this will be in a history book one day. kids from the year 3090 will learn about this day and all the other events. Black president, gay rights movement, war in Iraq, Sandy Hook shooting, Boston Marathon bombing, everything. We’re living in history now.

Heart goes out to the dead, injured, and others in Boston
but also my heart goes out to all the Muslims in the area who will wrongly be rounded up and detained tonight and to their families, and to the ones who will have to face mob violence and a spike of hatred that this event will trigger in the ignorant.
